1. Program description
GuardPoint Advisors, LLC operates a conversational and informational text-messaging program for people who request a quote, contact the agency, or receive customer service. Messages may be personally sent by Kristi Hill or another authorized GuardPoint representative and may also be sent using automated technology through GuardPoint's communications provider.
The program is not used for promotional, advertising, or marketing text messages. GuardPoint does not maintain a promotional SMS list.
2. How consent works
You may consent by checking the optional SMS box on a GuardPoint website form, providing express verbal or written consent, or initiating a text conversation with GuardPoint. If you text GuardPoint first, GuardPoint may respond conversationally to your request. Informational or automated messages will be sent only when GuardPoint has the consent required for that type of message.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of requesting a quote, purchasing insurance, or receiving customer service. You may use telephone or email instead.
3. Types of messages
Messages may include:
- responses to a question or quote request;
- requests for information needed to continue a quote or service request;
- appointment, call-back, or status updates;
- policy-document, identification-card, certificate, billing, or payment-service guidance;
- policy-review or requested policy-service communications;
- claim-reporting or claim-contact guidance; and
- consent, opt-out, HELP, or service-administration messages.
Message content will be consistent with the quote or customer-service relationship. GuardPoint will not add promotional or marketing content to this program.
4. Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on your request and the amount of follow-up needed. GuardPoint does not promise a minimum or maximum number of messages. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. GuardPoint does not charge a separate fee for SMS participation.
5. How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to opt out of text messages. GuardPoint will honor other reasonable requests to revoke consent as required by law. You may receive one final message confirming the opt-out. After that, GuardPoint will not send additional messages under this program unless you later provide new consent or initiate a new conversation that permits a response.
Reply HELP for assistance, call (763) 767-0542, or email kristi@guardpointadvisors.com.
6. Your responsibility for the mobile number
By enrolling a mobile number, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number and are authorized to consent. Tell GuardPoint promptly if the number changes, is reassigned, or is no longer under your control. You may opt out before discontinuing a number by replying STOP.
7. Mobile privacy
GuardPoint may provide the minimum information necessary to RingCentral, wireless carriers, aggregators, and other providers acting solely to deliver, secure, or support the requested messaging service. Mobile information is not sold.
GuardPoint records consent and opt-out information as reasonably necessary to operate the program and demonstrate compliance. Review the full Privacy Policy and Insurance Information Practices Notice.
8. Delivery, availability, and security
Wireless carriers and communications providers do not guarantee delivery. Messages may be delayed, filtered, duplicated, or unavailable because of network conditions, device settings, carrier restrictions, or events outside GuardPoint's control. Supported carriers may change. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Text messaging is not a secure channel. Do not text Social Security numbers, driver's-license images, payment-card details, passwords, health information, or other highly sensitive information. GuardPoint will provide another method when necessary.
9. Text messages do not bind or change coverage
Coverage is effective only when confirmed in writing by GuardPoint or the applicable insurance carrier and all underwriting, payment, and carrier requirements are satisfied.
Do not use SMS for an emergency or an urgent claim. Call 911 if anyone is in danger. When a claim requires immediate attention, contact the insurer's claims line and then call GuardPoint.
10. Changes and contact information
GuardPoint may update these SMS Terms. The date at the top identifies the current version. A material change affecting consent will be communicated or renewed when required by law.
